Ah Oui Monsieur!

Fair play, there's not a lot that can potentially be more entertaining than a damn good moustache!

People may have different opinions on it, I know a lot of people find it annoying...but truth be told, let's get this out there...I like it. I think it's funny.
Sometimes humour needs to be injected into life, and since this moustache trend seems to be everywhere at the moment...

So first theres the t-shirt, the first time I saw one on someone it did make me chuckle! Click the pictures above to buy. Love the Chanel no.5 inspired one!

Then theres the jewellery...I love the pearl and silver bracelet on the right! Very unique design!

And then we have the shopping bags! Perfect for a bit of humour while out for the day pummelling the pavements on a shopping trip! Click the image on the right to be taken to Beat The Elephant.com where you can get this bag, choose your charity and 50% will be donated to the charity of your choice!

...er, too far!

50 Shades Of...

Grey needn't be a boring shade. Thanks to a certain book, the worlds gone a little Grey-mad! Certainly not a bad thing.;-) Most people associate The colour grey with doom and gloom, rainy days and grey skies, depression and dark.
Personally, I've always liked Grey...and the colour isn't bad either. Ahem.
Accessorizing with grey can really make an outfit have that je ne Sais quoi.
Pair grey jewellery like those above (click images to be taken to stores) with colour block outfits or even a plain white or black t-shirt! It goes with anything so don't be afraid to experiment.
I'm a huge fan of grey and pale pink together, classy look! ;-)

No need to stick to the same "shade" either...in fact, various shades of grey (as we all know...) make life a bit more interesting!
So embrace the grey skies and learn to dance in the rain!

Forkin' Hell!

I am loving all these designs I've come across on the web for rings made out of forks! It's something that has been done for a long time..but it never gets old! There's so much you can do with the design, so it can end up being something that's very personal too! You can also make forks into bangles and necklaces, but my personal favourite is the fork!

Beautiful! I absolutely love statement silver, and these rings are a fab way to recycle an old fork you don't need nor mind missing anymore, it can also hold some sentimental value in years to come!

I have been trying to make one myself, but I'd much prefer to use silver over stainless steel...where stainless steel is a good metal as it does not tarnish, and most cutlerry these days are made from this...silverware would have been a better choice as it is softer and easier to work with. I was left with a nice design but a lot of rough edges..I'm sure once it's smoothed out it will be better, but I'd definitely recommend silver for this sort of thing, you can be more creative that way too! Maybe I'll put some pictures up when I have finished it!

Until then...here's some more design ideas found across the net...

ciao for now...x

Sparkly owls...

Last November I did one of the most adventurous things I've done with my life... I quit my full time job in a jewellers and travelled almost all of South East Asia and Australia. It was a big risk, knowing that I was leaving it all behind and was going to be coming back to no job. But I believe in jumping off a cliff sometimes in life and taki risks, because you never know how things can turn out.
I was away for 9 months altogether, and the whole thing taught me a lot.
Getting to see so many different cultures and meeting so many different types of people really opened my eyes and educated me in ways I could never have imagined.

Something I realised when travelling was how important jewellery can be in culture. We all know that jewellery has remained a symbolic and personal thing for many people throughout history, I find it fascinating, and will post more about the jewellery I picked up when travelling another time.
Anyway my point is, after 9 months of being away and seeing all sorts of cultures, one thing remained the same, my interest in jewellery wasn't longer just something I had been doing as a job for 5 years, it had grown into more of a fascination and admiration for beautiful items and the meaning behind them. I love what jewellery symbolises and the power it can bring to those that wear it.
Being inspired from the whole trip, I've had some ideas of my own and always knew I wanted to go back into working in jewellery. I set up my own business selling a range of beauty products under the Forever Living company when I got back, which is another thing I am passionate about -healthy living and natural products. Click my "forever heaven" link above to be taken to my online shop.
But again, that's another story, and like any new business I'm getting it up and running which does take time. It is very rewarding though and I love that.
One day I want to go into jewellery design, and being part of Forever will definitely help me achieve this dream. However, a job opportunity came up also, which I thought was quite spooky since I knew I wanted to go back into jewellery part time aswell as having my own business. Being around it and getting to work with it is something I always enjoyed and can only count for more inspiration, so I went for the job and got it! Why not do both?? And to celebrate I bought these adorable owl earrings...

Aren't they awesome? Found them in Internacionale for £2.99,(last of the big spenders here at the moment...) but got to the till to discover they had been further discounted. Don't you just love when that happens?! ;-)

They go with anything and add a touch of glamorous sparkle! Gorgeous! X

tanzanite-tastic

Another one of my favourite FAVOURITE colours when it comes to jewellery has always been Tanzanite! I just love the colour of it. I like to describe it as the colour of blue fireworks...it's not quite blue, not quite purple. A blurple. A mixture of the two.
There's something so beautiful and elegant about it.

The above earrings and ring are from Swarovski, Made from Swarovski crystal and have that stunning colour much like a real tanzanite stone! The gorgeous blurple colour on its own is a stunning contribution to any outfit, brightening it up instantly! But if you don't feel like going all out blue...

These from Net-A-Porter combine shades of blue and green, jazzing it up! A real statement.

Personally, I've got my eye on the pieces from ASOS below...yes, not quite the real deal, but it keeps my purse happier than the ones above!

Now, as for those two million dollar shoes...

Feeling fruity!

Completely in love with these hot diamond charms, from the "LOVE BITES" collection.

These babies can be clipped onto a charm bracelet or a necklace! A few at a time if you want the fruit-tastic look, or just one on its own...they still look gorgeous!
They also come in necklace form...

What I love about Hot Diamonds is not only do they always do really unique designs, but they have a tiny diamond on every item of jewellery. Yep, the real deal. Sterling silver and 18 ct gold/rose gold plating.
Grab them over at HOT DIAMONDS.COM
